Last night we had a pretty good storm, it started snowing around 4:00 pm yesterday, initially it was a rain/snow mix, then around 7:00 pm it was pretty much straight snow. This morning we had about 1 1/2 inches of wet snow. It is in the high 30's so it starting to melt.
So so much for having a dry yard. Still may get some more moisture today, it one of those gray dreary days. So good day to watch basketball.
Everyone appears to be getting ready for the solar eclipse. Several pieces on the news the last couple of days. Jennifer and I were seriously considering making a trip back to San Antonio to catch the eclipse and celebrate her Birthday. Of course with our luck, we probably would not have seen it, after our last eclipse adventure. So San Antonio may have paid us to stay away, could have been a retirement supplement opportunity. Guess I will settle for a just a partial eclipse up here in Montana.
The folks and I were talking about the eclipse that happened here in February 1979. My mom said she should have kept us home from school, but Dad made us go to school. I remember we were in 6th grade and it was also a pretty cloudy day so we really did not get a good view of that one either. Oh well I guess me and astronomical events were not meant to be. At that time I rember they said that the next one would be in 2017 and how far away that sounded. Oh well life goes on.
Well I need to put on my PT hat and get dad thru his paces. Enough for today.
