Unmotivated

Today I had a hard time getting motivated. I mopped around the house this morning, knowing Imhad things to do but just could not get motivated to do them. About the only thing productive that I did today was a load of laundry and folded some I had done yesterday.

I did go play Pickleball for a bit and then I came home and up dated bracket information. I did put my TV out on the patio and did some bracket updating and watched some basketball. Another day of some interesting upsets. Definitely March madness.

Margot and Allen brought me a box of Cafe du Monde beignet mix, a praline and a crawfish magnet from their recent trip Unfortunately I missed them (I did not hear the door because I was on the patio). But that was very nice of them. The crawfish magnet made me hungry for crawfish.

It reminded me of Jennifer and my first crawfish boil in Lafayette. It was at the apartment complex we were living in. Of course we had never been to one before and we got in line and they were passing out empty beer box cases. They had a great big cooker and you walked up and they scooped a big heaping of crawfish and potatoes into your case. I asked the guy scooping how many people were we supposed to share this with. The guy laughed and could obviously tell I was not from Louisiana. He said no one these were all mine.

Of course Jennifer did not take a case. Fortunately there were some older ladies that lived in the complex and they educated us on how to peel them. I will give Jennifer credit she tried one, but that was it. She did not like any seafood, but she tried one. She always said some of the best hamburgers she had were at some of the seafood places in Louisiana. Anyway, I got pretty good at peeling them and sucking heads. Jennifer could also peel the tails pretty good to use for etouffe.

This evening my friends Randy and Jane had me over to their house for a delicious homemade lasagna dinner. It was luscious and they sent me home with some. So I will be eating good again tomorrow.

Well I need to go enter the last game for Round 1 into the bracket spreadsheet. It is still a crapshoot on who is going to win this, but Conor's girlfriend Leela is still leading the pack.

Hopefully tomorrow I will be more motivated and productive. It looking like tomorrow afternoon is going to be crappy weather so I will be forced to do something in the house.
