Recently I wrote about Jennifer’s like of the movie “Twister”. Thursday night I turned on the TV, intending to watch “Live from the Masters”. However, when I turned it on guess what was on? “Twister”!
I know this is crazy, but I took that as a sign from her and I sat there and watched that instead of “Live from the Masters”. Watching it brought me a weird sense of comfort, even if it still not a cinematic masterpiece. I was sitting there giving her shit about it as if she was there with me.
Several of the lines in that show are just too funny. Like when they are at the Aunt’s House and they are talking about the F scale of tornadoes and the girlfriend asks if any of them had seen a F5 tornado, and they all look at her like she let a fart in church. It is just too funny.
Anyway enough on that, it brought me some good memories and for that I am thankful.
It’s been a busy few days. Thursday I took Dad to his rotary meeting and since Father Bill Dornbos was not there, I was asked if I would do the invocation. Thank God for the internet, I was able to find one and gave that.
After the meeting I took Dad to his urinary doctor for a shot he gets every few months. Then we went to Lisac’s Tire and got the tires on the car rotated then to Walmart for some groceries. Then came home and whipped up a pie that Jennifer liked (she stole the recipe from Elaine). Usually it is Key Lime pie, but I thought I would give lemon a go (mom had lemon jello in the cupboard). It turned out pretty good. You use a graham cracker crust, a small jello and two small lemon yogurts and a container of cool whip and then you refrigerate/freeze it.
For dinner I made Jennifer’s pork chop sandwiches and tater tots.
Yesterday we had several groups of company, so did not get a whole lot accomplished.
Today the Galbavy’s are coming over so I better get to moving. Enough for today.
We watched part of Twister the other night too 😊
