Tough Day Yesterday, But Better Today

Yesterday was a tough day emotionally. I went to the weekly putting tournament in the morning, and was planning to go play Pickleball after that. However, Mother Nature had other plans. The winds came up just as we were finishing up the putting tourney. So no Pickleball.

So I went home and made a few phone calls. During my call with Janice the other day we discussed making a quillo out of some Jennifer's old T-shirts. I pulled out her T shirts I had left (which is a bunch) I had already given some away. I texted some photos to Janice and she said Megan wants to make the quillo (quillo's are a quilt that folds up into a pillow).

Jennifer made several of them for us and family members over the years and some of mine are getting a little ragged. I boxed them up and will mail them off to Megan this week.

Then started looking through the photos and videos on the old lap top. Of course that was emotionial. I thought about watching a movie on TV, but just did not feel like it so decided to do some coloring. Put on some tunes and did some coloring. Below is the finished product.

After that I decided to work on getting my golfing stuff together for my golf outing today. I did that and then I went to bed early, because we were leaving at 6:00 am this morning.

I thought I might have trouble getting to sleep, but read for a brief few minutes and I was out. I just was emotionally drained.

Got up early this morning and my friend Randy picked me up at 6:00 and we headed for Moapa, NV to the Coyote Springs Golf Course. This is a Jack Nicklaus designed course out in the middle of no where. It is a very cool course. It was tough today. I think the greens keeper said "oh you want to play on Super Bowl Sunday, well let me make it interesting for you." Some of the pins were in some crazy tough spots. The guys I played with were pissed. They said they have never seen the flags in those locations and a couple of them play there regularly. I hit the green on the first Par 3 and was about 15 yards from the flag and ended up four putting it and none of those putts were terrible putts. I did however almost hit a hole in one on the Par 3 8th hole. I was about 6 inches from the cup. I did make that birdie putt and that was the highlight of the day. Below are a couple of cool photos (or at least from the course.

Well the Super Bowl was actually a good game this year. I was pulling for the 49er's which was probably why they lost. However it was a good game. Congrats to the Chief's and the Swifties!

Well I better hit the hay, got a busy day planned for tomorrow.
