The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia and Momma’s Family

Yesterday I played some Pickleball with the lady I am going to be playing with in a upcoming Tournament here in the Flat Top Mesa Challenge.

Then I came home and did a few things, worked on some Rotarty stuff and then binge watched the Aaron Hernandez story on FX. He sure was a troubled individual who struggled with a lot of different issues.

I watched a little college football, poor UNLV fell in overtime.

This morning I was hoping to sleep in a little, but alas it was not to be. I woke up at 3:30. I really tried hard to go back to sleep finally at 4:30 I said screw it and got up and did a few productive things (unloaded dishwasher, made coffee, etc).

I went up to the Saturday putting contest this morning. My playing partner and I tied with three other teams for first place. We made it down to second playoff hole and we both collapsed. I was in the running for the hole in one money but lost out by two strokes. I aced the final hole, but another guy in the event also had one but his overall score was 2 strokes better than mine.

Jennifer is smiling in heaven today because the University of Pittsburgh won their game today. They moved to 5-0 with a hard fought victory over North Carolina.

I am watching the weather because Tropical Storm Milton has formed and is heading towards Florida. Unfortunately the forecasted tracks have it going towards the part of Florida where the Malody’s have their winter home (Naples).

If you can make out the relationship between the items listed in the title, then you know what I am going to be doing tonight. I am going with Margot and Allen to a Vicki Lawerence show over in North Las Vegas tonight. My contribution is being the Uber.

I got some late nights/early mornings coming up this week. I am volunteering at the Black Desert Classic PGA golf tournament with Rotary folks on Monday and Tuesday. We are parking lot attendants. On Monday I have the 4:00 am to 8:00 am shift. However, after we finish our shift we can borrow a pass to go walk on the course. We drove by the course when we went to the MSU football game, it looks like a amazing course. The course has Black lava rock all through it, thus it’s name.

Also I plan to be up late on October 9, to watch the implosion of the Tropicana Casino in Vegas. channel 8 is broadcasting it on TV. They are supposed to have a huge drone light show prior to the implosion which will be at 2:00 am.

Well I have a few things to accomplish before I head out to see Momma.
