Well it has been 12 years since Jennifer’s infamous photo of the Queens hat. Facebook let me know that today. Every time it comes up it gives me a chuckle. Hard for me to fathom that it was 12 years ago.
For those not familiar with the story. We had taken a cruise with the Malody’s out of Norway that went to Normandy and around the British Isles. It was a wonderful cruise and we had a great time and a lot of good laughs and saw some amazing places. One stop was in Liverpool, England.
At the time the queen was making her jubilee tour through England and she just happened to be in Liverpool the day we docked there. Anyway we had been walking around Liverpool and we saw a crowd down by the maritime museum there and figured it must be for the queen. So we walked down and we could see her limo and entourage parked down by the museum so we knew they were going to driving by us. Well the ladies kind of got separated from Dale and I, but we had a pretty good spot and both Dale and I got some decent photos. Poor Jennifer took a photo (see below) as her limo went by and all she got was her the top of her hat.
Of course, we all, but me in particular used to tease her about that photo. Sometimes she would laugh and make some bogus excuses for it, but usually she would get pissed at me about it. Anyway it still brings a smile to my face every year that it pops up on Facebook.

It is a somewhat typical Memorial Day weekend so far here in Montana. It has not snowed yet (which usually happens) but it is overcast and windy. When the wind is not blowing it is not bad, but when the wind blows it is very cool and cuts right through you.
Well enough for today.
