Rain, Rain Please Take The Pollen Away!

We are getting some much needed rain this morning. Hopefully it will water down the pollen that has been blowing off of the trees. It has been bad the last couple of days but yesterday was really bad.

While I was grabbing a quick bite between haircut runs, we had some pretty brisk winds and these huge yellow clouds were swirling off the trees. Almost looked like smoke clouds. With all of the auction stuff I had been leaving my truck outside and it now has a yellow tint from all the pollen sticking to it. Of course everyone has been sneezing and sniffling because of it. So hopefully this rain will knock it down some.

On the way home from Dad’s haircut there were some very dark clouds heading our way that looked like they could have some hail in them so Cindy put both our vehicles in the machine shed. Thankfully no hail came and just a small rain shower in that first front. Obviously more rain came during the night and this morning.

While I am definitely missing being in my house in Mesquite, I am not missing the 100+ degree temperatures. I am praying they get a break from it soon, but the forecast is not encouraging. I just checked the temps and it is 92 at 5:30 am. So it is not even really cooling down at night.

Sadly I found out I will not be able to attend Jonel’s husband funeral service in the South Jordan UT. His service will be on July 6. Our nephews are holding a memorial service for Jennifer’s brother Mike on that day here in Butte. Mike passed away on August 30 last year. She and her family will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers.

The Pate auction folks are making good progress on getting everything tagged and ready for the online auction. They still need to put everything in their system for the online posting, but they are making good progress.

It was nice seeing Danna yesterday, Jennifer would have enjoyed visiting and reliving old times with her. With the 4th of July quickly approaching, they would have been talking about past 4th of July party’s at Jennifer’s Aunt Helen’s house (now Danna’s parents house). Her Aunt Helen and Uncle Bill would always have a big party at their house on the 4th and memories of those party’s were some of Jennifer’s very favorite childhood memories.

Well I best get to thinking about getting moving and doing something productive.
