Paper Shredding Day

Writer's picture: sologubj9sologubj9

Today Dad and I took a bunch of old paper work into town to get shredded by a shredding company. I really wish that was around when we were working on getting Jennifers folks house ready for their estate sale.

Jennifer and I shredded a ton of bags of papers and actually burned up three paper shredders in the process during one of our Montana vacations. We also destroyed a ton of prescription medication that Jennifer’s Dad had compiled during that same trip. That was not one of our funner vacations. I remember us talking about when we reached this point with my parents and we both just shuttered at the thought. Well it has been as much work as we were anticipating but we are now seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.

I also took some stuff into the BSW Thrift store from the trailer. After we completed these tasks we went to lunch at the Oasis Casino and then we headed home and I did some more trailer work. I am getting closer to getting to the point of getting it listed for sale.

Tonight I have been really missing her, it just hurts like hell not having her here with me. I would give anything to get a hug from her tonight.

Last year on this date she had a appointment met with our personal physician and was referred to a gastrointestinal specialist (our personal physicians husband). At this point we knew it was not her gallbladder but we had no idea that it was something that was terminal. So we were still cautiously optimistic about what was making her not feel well and were just happy that she was getting into the gastrointestinal specialist quickly.

Anyway, it was a weird time and she was starting to having more difficulty in eating things and her pain levels were increasing. In my opinion, there is nothing worse that seeing someone you love in pain and not being able to do anything about it.

She had been using a heating pad one her side and up to this point that helped some. This is also when she started the routine of sitting on the side of the bed with her feet on a bench and hunching over on her knees as that position seemed to give her some comfort.

Anyway enough for tonight, it’s too hard trying to type with teary eyes.
