Yesterday was another busy long day.
I took Dad to his Rotary Meeting. Mom had a few of her friends out for lunch and Auction Prep continued.
Cindy worked her tail off yesterday. She had to cut some old hay conveyors in half with the torch so they would fit in the scrap bins as well as help Mom with her luncheon.
We got the machine shed building almost completely cleaned out. The auction crew got the items they think are sellable out and then Cindy, Heath and I worked on cleaning out the scrap iron until Chad showed up. We took a quick dinner break and then Chad , Cindy and I worked on getting the rest of the scrap iron out of the barn. We have just a couple of items to get out and then that building will be officially done.
Both boys were pretty tired last night, however case was flying high. He got to drive and ride in the auction company’s loader and he also successfully trapped a gopher in the yard. He has been trying for a week or better to get one and yesterday he did. So he was pretty happy about that.
Heath also had a good day. The night before last he was riding their little side by side around the yard and it threw the chain. He was able to get the chain reinstalled all by himself.
We are making progress even if it sometimes feels like we are not. We also had to get a second 30 cubic yard garbage roll off delivered. We filled the first one. So the full one was picked up and new one was delivered this afternoon.
Another busy day of auction prep scheduled for today. I know Jennifer would have been hip deep in helping us with this, but I am also pretty sure that she is in heaven saying “Whew, I am glad I dodged that bullet”.
Well I better get a move on.
