Very busy day.
It started a little frustrating. I had to work on rebooking my airline ticket back to St George. When I flew home in January I had booked a round trip ticket. However, since I hooked a ride up to Butte with Cindy and Chad, I needed to change the ticket from St George to Butte to Butte to St George. Well that turned out to be harder than I thought it would. After a hour and half of texting with Delta we finally got that accomplished.
I then had just enough time to jump in shower and then head to town to meet Jeanne and Rob for lunch at McKenzie River.
However, as I was going out the door to get my truck, I noticed I had successfully trapped another gopher that have been coming up into the front yard, so I needed to run back in the house and grab a 22 to put the little guy out of his misery.
So I was a few minutes late getting to lunch. We had a very nice visit and tasty lunch.
Then I went to run a couple of errands and then stopped by Sister-in-law Pat’s house to deliver her Teddy Bear and then went to Kate and Sam’s house to deliver her Teddy Bear and had a nice visit with the Lydia while we waited for her folks and Ted to get home.
It was finally a beautiful day today so I went out to the cemetery to see Jennifer for a few minutes and then to Walmart for some groceries.
I came home and grilled some brauts for dinner and then went out and disposed of the gopher carcass and put some weed and feed on the yard.
After the yard work, I came in and was watching some TV and happened upon a old movie from the 80’s. “The Lost Boys”. This movie was probably the only horror movie that Jennifer really liked. What she really liked about it was the sound track from the movie. It was released when we were in College and we played that sound track a lot.
The funny thing is that there is a tie between The Lost Boys and the movie Twister. I did not realize that until tonight. The actress Jami Gertz is in both movies. She plays “Star” in The Lost Boys and “Dr Melissa Reeves” in Twister. That made me chuckle when I realized that.
Well enough for tonight.
