Well we had a good trip back to Butte yesterday. The roads were mostly dry. We hit one little stretch of rain/sleet just South of Pocatello but it was good the rest of the way.
We did a quick swing thru Kolob Canyon of Zion Park on the way. It was beautiful, I had not been thru that section before. The Galbavy's passed thru it on the way down and Case had a free park pass because he is in fourth grade so we did it again on the way home.
I was wiped and actually slept in until about 7:00 this morning.
Of course just outside of Cedar City I was going through my checklist in my head and got a sickening feeling when I realized that I had forgotten to throw out the gallon of milk that I had in the refrigerator. I had not thrown it out the night before because I was thinking the boys may want a glass in the morning. Of course they did not and I forgot to throw it out. I also had a bag of string cheese that I was going to throw in the food bag for the ride home and I forgot that as well.
Thank God for good friends. Margot and Allen came to my rescue and went over to the house and got those out of the refrigerator for me. That would not have been fun to come home to.
We are going to have Easter here at the ranch. This afternoon/evening it has been snowing off and on. It has not been sticking, it is that big flake wet snow. I hope it stays that way.
It was a weird trip up yesterday, I remembered some of our stops over the years on the way up. I am sure the Galbavy's might have been tired of me reciting them. I also got to wondering about Jennnifers last trip up. She made that trip by herself and I was wondering if she had the same memories as she was driving up here. Also, it amazes me because I know she was not feeling great.
She would have enjoyed the Galbavy's visit and the activities that we did. Which really makes it hurt. However, those are the cards we were dealt so I will continue to move on.
Our family March Madness bracket challenge is going good. The upsets in the tourney are making it interesting. I am out of the running because I had North Carolina taking it all. We do have several folks with Purdue and a few folks with UConn. I see UConn punched their ticket to the final four this afternoon. Our nephew Ryan is in the lead right now and he has UConn as the winner.
Well enough for today, I am really missing her tonight.
