Another movie series that Jennifer liked was Jumanji. She liked the first and third ones the best. The first was her favorite
People driving down Harrison Avenue in Butte, America yesterday probably thought they were in the game Jumanji. There was a elephant running down the street, yesterday morning. It even made the national news. If you have never seen the movie you probably won't get the meaning.
Anyway a circus was in town and they were giving the elephant a bath, supposedly a pick up truck in the area back fired and scared the elephant who took off running from the Civic Center. He got on Harrison Avenue and started heading South. He cut through the parking lot of the Town Pump gas station and relieved itself in someone's yard before they got it calmed down and back to the Civic Center. Fortunately no one including the elephant was hurt or damaged. Lots of people were taking pictures and there have been some comical posts on Facebook about the event. Being the circus business, maybe it was a publicity stunt. If it was it was effective. Everyone in town is talking about it.
I am sure the dog catcher would have been telling his bosses that infamous line from Jaws "I am going to need a bigger Truck" if he had to corral it. Fortunately the circus handler was able to take care of it.
One thing about Butte is that it is never dull.
Last night we had another fire training, they burned a bunch of lumber from a house remodel. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow they will be able to burn the tall grass that we have in several places around the ranch.
This morning we had about a 1/4 inch of snow, it showed up a little later than forecasted (around 5:00 am), The worse part of it is the wind it has a real bite to it. Most of it has melted off even though the temps are in the high 20's to low 30's.
Today has been a fairly busy day, I was able to get in to see Dana for a haircut. I again was way overdue. I do feel like a new man now that she got me cleaned up. Especially my eyebrows. I damn near could have braided them. I wanted to be presentable for my nephew Heaths confirmation on Sunday.
Then I ran back to the ranch to get both Mom and Dad to get them to town for Dr appointments.
This evening I have my Rotary Club meeting, provided that the fire department does not come down to burn the grass. Otherwise I will be burning grass.
Well enough babbling for today.
