Yesterday's book sale went alright, we sold 48 books and got a $2.00 donation so we made $50. When I didn't have anyone in the room book shopping I was working on organizing and culling some books and removing duplicates from the shelves so we can make room for some new inventory. We have some regular customers that come and they have been not been buying their usual volume of books, because we have not added any new inventory. We are going to hopefully change that on February 29. We are going to have a work day that day instead of a regular meeting.
I did get a little bummed out while working on the Nora Robert's/JD Robb books. Those were some of Jennifer's favorites and it made me really think of her. She had some favorites that I bet she read 5-6 times if not more. She also liked (we both did) Janet Evanovich. She loved the grandmother character and Lulu character in those books. We have a bunch of books by both of those authors.
Well I was betting I would not get any pickleball in yesterday because as I was leaving the sale, it was pouring rain, but we did not get that in Sun City. So actually got several games in before the winds just became too strong and it finally started to sprinkle.
I did some laundry this morning and then went up to Pickleball courts for a men's round robin event. Well I got there and the regular organizer was not there, so I ended up running it. We got about four games in and then we had to quit because it started to sprinkle and the courts were getting slick. So I came home and worked on getting the car and truck titles solely in my name. I think I have all the paperwork comoleted. Now I will need to go to DMV office and see about getting it processed. That will be a pain in the ass, but it's got to be done. I did have to make another trip to the bank to get some of the documents notarized.
Also had a nice phone call with Janice and then a quick call with my folks, before I had to leave for a party.
This evening I went to a party at a fellow pickleball players home. Actually it was a Birthday party for him. I did not realize that until I got there. Well it was a heck of a fun party. It was Mexican themed and Spencer"s wife did a hell of a job on the party. She had some games for us to play prior to dinner. The food (enchiladas and tamales) was outstanding but what was really amazing was the Birthday cake. It was a Pickleball themed Cake.
Below is a picture of the cake. It was a strawberry shortcake (but it was anything but short. It was about 24 inches tall) and it was good. His wife got it from a shop in Las Vegas. It was really cute and tasty.

I took the golf cart up to the party, I probably should have taken the car, because it was raining pretty hard when I left the party and I got a little wet coming home. Then to top it off I get home and realized I left my cell phone sitting on one of the tables at Spencers house. So I jumped back in the car and hustled back up and picked it up. Spencer's wife loaded me up with some of the left over food. So that was a added bonus I was not expecting.
Anyway all in all a semi-productive day. Hopefully the rain quits tomorrow for our weekly putting tournament and so we can maybe get some Pickleball in.
Well enough for today.
