Her First Heavenly Birthday!

Today would have been Jennifer's 57th Birthday.

She was three months older than me and I used to give her a lot of shit about that. I used tell her three months mise well be three years. I would tell her that I never thought I would marry me a Cougar but here I was. I also told her she was my sugar momma or that I was her trophy husband. She would give the shit right back to me. Saying she didn't get much of a trophy.

To celebrate her birthday I am going to lunch with Jeanne and Rob and I of course will be going out to see her at the cemetery today.

I had to laugh yesterday as there was a article about parts of Texas that may not be able to see the eclipse because of clouds. I just checked San Antonio's weather and it is showing cloudy all day. So our lack of luck with astronomical events would have likely been kept intact.

I posted the below photo on Facebook. We had bought a little fire pit for our patio and unfortunately we got to use it only a couple of times before she departed. I had taken that photo to share with the Malody's. We had been looking forward to spending many evenings on the patio tossing back a adult beverage or two while having the fire pit for some light and ambuance. Well so much for that.

A funny story about Jennifer's Birthday. When we were moving to Sun City we made a offer on another house. As we were meeting with the realtor and writing up the offer there was a question about one of the occupants being 55 or older. Our realtor was a little shocked to find out we just squeaked in on that requirement. I think it was only two days after her birthday. We ended up not getting that house and then made the offer on the house we are in a couple of days later, but that is a story for another day.

Once we were in the house, it was her turn to give me shit, by saying I better mind my P's and Q's because she was the only reason we could live in Sun City and she could get me tossed for not being old enough.

Jennifer could have also retired a little earlier than me, but she was nice enough to wait until I hit the big 50 and we went out together. So we had the distinction of starting the same day and retiring the same day.

Anyway I hope she is having a wonderful first heavenly birthday. I miss her more everyday.
