Yesterday I got a very pleasant surprise. I need to provide a little background. Last week I got my hair cut. Since I was going bowling right after that I had brought a old T-shirt to wear during my haircut so I could change back into my nice T-shirt for bowling and it would not have hair all over it.
I changed my shirt in the parking lot of the haircut place. I read on face book later that day that there was a sighting of a large white whale in that same parking lot. Wierd that I did not see that, I am usually pretty observant about things going on around me. I wonder what a whale was doing in Mesquite, we don’t have much water here. Kind of like having a circus with a orange ringmaster in Washington DC. Doesn’t make much sense, but it is happening.
Now I also had on a hat and my trusty old Oakley sunglasses. These sun glasses have been favorites of mine for years. I think I have had these glasses longer than any other eye ware I have ever had. Jennifer bought me these sun glasses as a gift. They are unique in that they have orange frames with yellow temples. I liked them and have ever since Jennifer gave them to me.
Anyway I had laid them and my hat on the back seat of the car while I was changing my shirt. Since I did not need either the hat or glasses while I was in the hair dresser. As soon as I got out I went to the bowling alley. I changed my shirt again, but did not grab my glasses. Anyway as soon as I got down bowling I had to head straight to Pickleball and I changed into my Pickleball hat and the glasses I wear for playing that. When I got home and unloaded the car the sun glasses must of gotten wrapped up in the shirt I wore into the barber.
Well I could not find the glasses about a day later, I thought I had maybe lost them when I was changing shirts. Needless to say, I was upset with myself and honestly heartbroken. I thought about driving down to the parking lot where I thought I maybe lost them, but figured one of two things had probably happened. They were run over and crushed or someone picked them up and had themselves a set of well used sunglasses.
Well yesterday I was doing laundry and I pulled the shirt I had worn for my haircut out of the laundry basket and guess what falls out on the floor? My beloved orange sunglasses. To say I was happy was a understatement. It really made my day.
Last night our Rotary club had a Thanksgiving Pot Luck dinner. It was very nice with some delicious food.
Today has been a busy day. Bocce early this morning and then a group of us went bowling. Just before I left for the bowling alley I saw the report that Trump”s Attorney General pick had pulled his name for consideration. Hallelujah! However, now we get to wait and see who is the next unqualified clown to enter the fray.
That Congressional Ethics report must be pretty damning, because that SOB is doing everything to try and keep the general public from seeing it. Again, I strongly feel it should be released as we taxpayers paid for that investigation. Yet another case of wasted spending by our congressional representatives. I swear that these people piss money away with little to no accountability.
Congressional ethics is becoming quite the oxymoron, seems like none of them have any ethics or morals and I guess based on the results of the elections that is “A” OK with the majority of Americans.
After bowling I headed to the Pickleball courts and just got home. Thankfully I had some food from the Rotary dinner that I brought home so did not have to cook dinner this evening. Thank goodness because I am tired tonight.
Well enough for today. I am going to try and watch the rest of the Steelers/Browns game. It is snowing like hell in Cleveland.
