We had a fun day filled with many activities and interesting observations.
We had a nice breakfast this morning and then we loaded into the Galbavy's car and went to view the sculptures in the road banks not far from the house. The kids and Chad liked the Easter Island head ones.
Then I showed them a few other places in town. We went to the local Mexican grocery store and wandered around there. It was eye opening for the Galbavy's as they saw many new things. They had never had a jicama. So I bought a small one so they could taste it. Then we went to the liquor store so the Galbavy's could load up on cheaper liquor. Then we went to get lunch at Jersey Mikes.
We observed a wild incident while there. There was this car that was backing out of a parking space and ran into the back of a mini van. The old guy driving the mini van jumped out and ran in front of the car and was screaming at the guy driving the car to get out of his car. The next thing we know the car rolled a little forward and the guy from the minivan falls down on the ground and starts hollering for the guy to back up.
Of course we thought it was going to be a hit and run situation so I hollered to Cindy to get the plate number for the car and I was jumping out of the car and running around to try and get a picture in case they took off. So the next thing the guy that was on the ground screaming is up, I guess the guy just rolled onto the tip of his shoe and he fell down. The driver of the car got out and they both look at the van bumper and there is no major damage (the van already had more than a few dings in it).
Well I guess they decided there was nothing to pursue as they both went their separate ways. The guy in the van went into one of the shops and the guy in the car got in his car and left. We were all a little dumbfounded but it was entertaining.
So we came home and had lunch. I sliced up the jicama and the Galbavy's seemed to like it.
Then we decided to go up to the putting green. We putted 9 holes and the boys had enough. Case did make a hole in one on the 4th hole much to the chagrin of his older brother.
We then went to play some Bocce. The boys played two games and it started raining. Each won a game so we decided to call it quits. The Boys and I stayed home and I ordered in a pizza. Chad and Cindy went down to the Casinos and gambled a little and had dinner at one of the buffets.
I let the boys each have a turn driving the golf cart around the neighborhood then we played some Battlebots (since Heath had brought his full collection with him). Then we and played some Wii.
We had a funny incident while playing Battlebots. Case was having a issue with his Battlebot controller. So he took out the batteries and was digging out some new battery's to put in it. For some reason his Battlebots arm started going up,and down. Well Case is convinced that his Auntie Jen was with us and wanted to play and she was moving his robot. It was wierd that his robot's arm was moving and maybe he was right who knows, but he is convinced she was playing with us.
We called Mom and Dad to check on them and he was all excited telling them about it. He is a funny little guy. He is very observant of everything going on and always full of interesting questions.
Well we all hit the hay early tonight as we have a very active day scheduled for tomorrow. All in all it was a good day.
