Emotional Day

Today was a emotional day. As I mentioned I woke up this morning in a blue funk and worked most of the day to get out of it.

Jeanne, Rob and I went to Peggy Ann's (PA as Jennifer called her) and got the scooter and had a nice visit with her. I took the scooter and went back to the ranch and then turned right around and went back to town to get some groceries and run some errands.

I picked up a Canadian Bacon and Black olive pizza (Jennifer's favorite) from Silver Bow pizza and went over to Jeanne and Rob's house for a late lunch. We had a nice visit over lunch.

Then I went to get some groceries and came home. I also made a quick stop at the cemetery to visit her since I was in the neighborhood.

I think I have mentioned that Cindy and Chad had given me a German Beer Advent Calendar back in 2022, but we did not get to come home last year because of Jennifer's eye surgery. Mom and I have been having fun tasting the different beers each night. For some reason we forgot to drink yesterdays beer so we had two tonight. Both beers were Hell beers so went to hell twice tonight.

After dinner my Dad had some gifts he needed wrapped. So I went and got gift paper and wrapped them for him. Jennifer did this for him many many years. She liked to wrap gifts and was good at it. Unfortunately, I am not. So this years wrapping is pretty ugly, but they are wrapped. My patience was tested certainly because of my lack of skills but I got them wrapped but it was a little emotional for me and she was on my mind the whole time.

A couple of weeks ago our great niece Lilly wrote a letter to Santa. In that letter she asked for a new dog. Over the past couple of years they have lost three dogs to age and sickness and she really misses them. In her letter she asked Santa to deliver the letter to Heaven so Aunt Jennifer could read it to the three dogs. Needless to say that was a very special letter.

Today she got a response letter from Santa. Santa told her that he delivered the letter to Heaven so Aunt Jennifer could share the letter with Steve, Stella and Gracie. She also got a $50 gift card from Downtown Summerlin. So my eyes got all teared up again.

Anyway it was a emotional day.
