I have been watching this snowdrift/iceberg behind the house calving throughout today. I remember when I was up in Alaska for work and on the weekend I took a tour out of Whittier on a boat to watch the glaciers calve into Prince William Sound. They were a little more dramatic than this one but it is still interesting to watch the progress during the day. Did not see any Orca's or whales in Elk Park either.
It was a weird weather day, we had all,four seasons about three different times. One minute it would rain, then it would turn to snow for a few minutes and then it would clear off and the sun would come out and then it would cloud up again and the process would start again.
Was a busy day. We had a conference call with the Montana Water Board and US Justice department on the water rights for Mom and Dad's mining claim. The Forest Service is contesting information on the water right. As near as we can tell it involves some changes in directions for the flow of the water. Anyway, we are in a 60 day holding pattern waiting on more information from the Forest Service providing more details. Hopefully we can reach a settlement at that time.
Then took Dad to town to get a Covid booster and then to get a haircut. We also picked up some Powerball tickets, can't win the nearly billion dollars if you don't have a ticket.
Came home and then I linked into zoom meeting of my Rotary club. This was our first meeting of as a merged club.
All in all was a busy day.
