Yesterday was a busy day. Dad and I went to Rotary. The speaker was from the Butte Rescue mission. It was a eye opening presentation. Butte has the highest death rate from Fentanyl in the Pacific Northwest and human trafficking is also a big issue.
After Rotary we ran a few errands and went to Walmart for a few grocery items. Came home and took a short break and then cooked up some dinner. Mom had frozen some of their left over corn beef from St. Patrick’s day. So we cooked up a Reuben bake. It was pretty damn good.
The volunteer fire department was coming down to burn the grass. It was a perfect night to do it. The wind was minimal and the temps was in low 30’s. However about 15 minutes before they got here we got a damn Blizzard. It was those big wet heavy flakes and it was coming down hard.
We gave the grass burning a shot, but too much snow had fallen and we were pissing in the wind in trying to get the grass to burn. We would of needed a tanker truck of propane to get it to burn. We got about a 1/4 inch of very wet snow. It is good, but if it could have waited for about 2 hours it would have been better. So we will try again once it drys out again.
Spring in Elk Park. All four seasons in a hour.
