Heath made it through his confirmation yesterday.
We watched it on a YouTube live stream here at the ranch. Then as soon as the Bishop finished laying hands on him we jumped in the car and went to East Helena. Worked out pretty well as we all got to the Galbavy’s within minutes of each other.
As always, Cindy and Chad had a nice layout of food to celebrate the event. We had a nice little gathering. Chad’s Mom, Heath’s Sponsor and her Husband, one of their neighbors and us.
Thankfully Chad and Cindy have a heater in their garage so everyone was nice and toasty.
Mom and Dad bought a cake to celebrate the occasion. Jennifer would have been very happy because it was her favorite type cake. White cake with white frosting.
So a very nice day.
Heath must have been following the Bishop’s instructions during his homily to pray an extra four minutes each day. Because while we were celebrating in the garage Cindy got a text message from the East Helena school system telling parents that Heath’s school was going to be closed today.
Unfortunately the reason for the closure was that someone had broken into and vandalized the school. They did a whole bunch of damage, breaking windows, smashing trophy cases’s breaking computers etc. Very sad and very costly.
Little brother Case was not pleased that Heath did not have school today, but he did. His school was also broken into. However, the vandal’s did not do as much damage there and the school officials were able to get in cleaned up for school today. Case was having a hard time coming to grips with that. It was pretty comical watching his reaction to this news. He was pissed, if he could have gotten his hands on the vandals he would have done a job on them.
Well better get to moving, have been slacking this morning.
