Busy Housekeeping Day

Today was a busy housekeeping day. I was hoping to sleep in this morning, but my mind had a different idea. I woke up at about 5:00, so I did my Wordle and actually got a very lucky guess and got it in two try’s today. I only had one letter correct in my first guess. I would have been goading Jennifer today

Read the Butte paper and checked the news headlines. Then I went out and started watering the yard. Then got the folks up. We had some leftover Town Talk donuts from yesterday, so had a maple log with my coffee. Even day old maple logs are pretty damn tasty. Of course thought of Jennifer and how she would having been fighting me for that last maple log as I was eating it.

I was feeling pretty good this morning so thought I maybe would test negative, so did a test. No luck, still tested positive.

Today was shower day for Dad, so we got that done and then I started on some laundry. Colleen had gone to town this morning so she brought home some lunch. During Amazon Prime day Colleen and I found (what we hope will be) a better shower chair for Dad to use. So we ordered one. Well it arrived in the mail today, so I assembled that. and

Then I went out to clean up the inside of my truck. I have some stuff to donate to the BSW thrift store from the trailer so got that assembled and bagged up for drop off once I can get back out and about. I was hoping to go to the cemetery and cement Jennifer’s Sheppards hook for the flowers in. I had also bought some of the post cement on Prime Day. Well that will also have to wait.

Then I cleaned the bathrooms, not my favorite housekeeping chore, but somebody needs to do it.

This afternoon Renee Ashby brought out a wonderful fried chicken and spaghetti dinner with a chocolate cream pie. That was very nice of her and very much appreciated. Thank you Renee!

After dinner, I was flipping thru the channels and saw the WNBA all star game was on. So decided to watch that. It was a very entertaining and competitive game. It was a team of WNBA all stars against the USA Olympic team (which is supposed to be the best WNBA players). Well the WNBA all stars took it to the Olympic team. They were up by 20+ points at one point in the 4th quarter. The Olympic team battled back but ending up losing by 6 points (I believe).

Also got a text from an old grade school/ highschool /college classmate (Dave Egedahl) who flew into town tonight. I would have loved to catch up with him and his wife Kim this evening but damn Covid also prevented that. Hopefully I will test negative before they leave town at the end of the month.

Thankfully it was a busy day, this being quarantined sucks.
