Well I have been busy getting back in the saddle here in Mesquite.
I played Bocce on Tuesday morning and then went home and started working on getting my house cleaned. Finished unpacking my bags and then my box of stuff I shipped home arrived. So worked on unpacking that. Then I went bowling with Margot, Allen, Dorothy, Andy, Julie and Randy. I was pretty rusty in both Bocce and Bowling, but it was nice to get out and have a few laughs. I provided a lot of opportunities for laughter with my poor play.
Yesterday I continued working on house stuff in preparation for this weekend. All of the Benners from Vegas are coming up on Saturday and we were going up to St George on Saturday evening to watch the Montana State Bobcats play Utah Tech in football. I cleaned off my patio and got my patio furniture out of the garage, pulled a few weeds (but then the heat kicked so moved back in the house).
Caron, Ryan and the kids are going to spend the night with me and Elaine and Jim have gotten a room at the Holiday Inn Express. It was Ryan’s birthday yesterday so it will be a celebratory weekend. It should be fun.
The Galbavy visit in March provided a opportunity to figure out the room/bed arrangements so we will repeat that arrangement for this weekend. It has been weird getting the house ready without Jennifer here. If she was here she would have put together a list of things to be done, food to be purchased/prepared and she would be directing me on what I needed to be doing. So I am trying my best to do some of that.
I also worked on some other adult things yesterday. I paid some bills and I will also be canceling Jennifer’s cell phone in the next day or so. So I have been going through the various apps on her phone and converting the ones that are still needed to me and my cell phone. While I was In Montana, I ordered a new IPad, but I did not set it up so also have been working on getting that set up. I ordered it in Montana to take advantage of the no sales tax.
I forgot that yesterday was Left-Right-Center day so I missed going to play that, but will get back in the rotation for that.
Being back at the house without her here has been interesting. I have talked to her a lot in my head. I just miss her so much and still have that this has to just be a bad nightmare and I will wake up and she will lying in bed beside me. But alas that just is not happening.
Well enough for today, I got to get ready for Bocce. I also need to go and collect my houseplants from Sheri today.
