Almost Done

Well the auction pick up is almost done. There are a couple of people that will be picking up the next couple of days.

One picked up this morning. It was a side delivery rake. I had to use the tractor to load it. It went way smoother than I thought it would. It went so smooth you would almost think I knew what I was doing.

Three of the five tractors that sold are going to stay in the Elk Park area. All three are going to be in the same neighborhood (less than a mile from each other). The last two got picked up and driven to their new home this morning.

During the auction pick up, we had some pretty sketchy trailers and loads. Some people undersestimated the size of their loads or items they bought. Today however we had a person who sent a semi truck with a forklift to pick up his jukebox and three small heaters. Believe me I was happy he had a forklift, that jukebox was heavy. Turns out the driver was the brother of the purchaser and he had a trucking business. That jukebox looked pretty small on that truck.

After the completion of yesterday’s pick up day I drove into town to meet up with Jonel Spear Condra, her son Nick, Annie Martin and Marci Knievel-Robinson for drinks at the Slainte pub in uptown Butte. I was so glad that I was able to see Jonel, this was first time I saw her since her husband Kevin’s passing. It was also nice to see Annie and Marci. Annie was Jennifer’s maid of honor. I know Jennifer was there with us in spirit. We had some good laughs and remembrances and I gave Jonel and Annie their memory bears. So I am done getting those to people.

On my way home I also stopped to see Dave and Kim Egedahl at their Airbnb. Had a nice visit with them. Dave’s son Kaare was there. It was nice to see him. Kaare was just a little guy when Jennifer and I got married, we have several pictures and video of him at the wedding.

He now has teenagers of his own, which really makes me feel old.

Besides loading out people, I cut the grass, between the grass (hay fever) and the smoke (it has been bad today) my sinuses are blocked up this evening and my eyes are itchy.

It is weird seeing the barns and other buildings pretty much empty. They have been pretty much filled with stuff my whole life. It has been tough on Dad
