867-5309

Last night I watched a YouTube video that was about one hit wonders from the 1980's. The first one on the list was the Tommy Tutone song 867-5309. Jennifer and I always kind of considered that "our" song. We danced and or sang to that song many times over the years. Lame I know but still made me chuckle with that being the first one hit wonder on the list. There were several other good songs in that video. I wonder if the 80's is the decade with the most one hit wonders?

Well my golf game started well, I made par on the first hole and was doing alright for the first 6 holes then I hit a tough streak for holes 8, 9and 10. With triple bogeys. I kind of got back on tack until hole 17 when the wheels came off with another triple bogey. I finished strong on 18 with my best drive of the day. It was a somewhat frustrating round because of the pace of play it was slow. I never play well when I am waiting. I like to play fast. Anyway it was fun to get out and we had great weather for it, although clouds started rolling in around 3:00 and wind started picking up on the back 9.

I got home and dropped my clubs off and then went and picked up Allen and our friend Tom who had hip replacement surgery last week and we went to Yardley's for a burger. Tom is recovering really well and I think he enjoyed getting out of the house for a bit.

So all in all it was a good day.
